2026 United Nations Water Conference
The 2026 United Nations Water Conference is a global high-level event focused on accelerating progress toward Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and strengthening action on water across the entire 2030 Agenda.
The Conference is convened by the United Nations and co-hosted by the United Arab Emirates and Senegal, bringing together governments, international organisations, the scientific community, civil society, and the private sector.
With only five years remaining to achieve the SDGs, the Conference aims to mobilise investment, innovation, political commitment, and global solidarity to accelerate implementation of SDG 6, which is essential for health, food security, climate resilience, and sustainable development overall.
