The EGU General Assembly is a significant conference that brought together geoscientists from all over the world, covering all disciplines of Earth, planetary, and space sciences. It provided a great forum where scientists, including early career researchers, showcased their work and exchanged ideas with experts in all fields of geoscience. Our coordinator, Dr. Jingshui Huang from Technical University of Munich (TUM), in partnership with Portolan Association, presented the abstract on ‘Water Efficient Allocation in a Central Asian Transboundary River Basin’, Ms. Lu Tian, also from TUM, presented her remarkable study on “Emergent pattern analysis of multiple-phase droughts cascade in Central Asia from a dynamic perspective”, Dr. Praveen Rai from The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg, presented their research on “Effect of an irrigation scheme implemented in a regional climate model over Central Asia ” and Dr. Rick Hogeboom, from University of Twente, shared results of their recent study on “The Financial Sector: Help or Hindrance in Resolving Global Water Crises.”
