9th edition of the Science Summit around the 78th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA78) on 12-29 September 2023 by ISC and its partners. The role and contribution of science to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will be the Summit’s core focus. The goal is to create and establish science collaborations that will exhibit global science procedures and activities that will aid in the achievement of the UN SDGs, Agenda 2030, and Local2030. The summit will also provide input for the United Nations Summit of the Future, which will be held during UNGA79, which begins on September 12, 2024.
The hybrid event has its focus on the framework conditions of European funding for research and innovation projects. “Horizon Europe” as the worldwide biggest funding programe for research & innovation (95 billions of € between 2021-2027) offers manifold options for projects in green topics, e.g. Decarbonisation, Environment, Food Value Creation, Circular Economy, Water, Climate Impact Research, Agriculture and Bioeconomy.
