The Young Scientist School (YSS) is a program that focuses on climate change and water resources in Uzbekistan. Esteemed lecturers from leading institutions, including Humboldt University of Berlin, TIIAME National Research University, National University of Uzbekistan, as well as renowned research centres such as the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ Potsdam) and the Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ Leipzig), will provide valuable insights into climate circulations, the impacts of climate change on water resources, and effective management strategies.
The programme features a blend of theoretical sessions on hydrology and practical exercises using cutting-edge tools for managing water resources in Uzbekistan amidst the challenges posed by climate change. This initiative aims to empower young scientists with the expertise and skills necessary to tackle real-world challenges in these critical areas.
Eligibility: The workshop is open to young specialists and early-career scientists from Uzbekistan with a keen interest in water, climate, and/or agriculture research. Proficiency in English is required, as all courses will be conducted in English.
