This event is the second part of the hydrological part of the summer school. The course will take place online on 12.12.2023, starting at 13:00h Bishkek local time (UTC +6). The event aims to foster collaboration and networking, provide network opportunities for potential new young researchers, and build expertise with Central Asian partners.
This course will:
– Look at the data recorded/measured during the fieldwork
– Learn how to prepare the data for river discharge analysis
– Calculate river discharge from the Fluorometer data
– Calibrate automated water level data to derive river discharge time-series
– Calculate discharge statistics (sum of flow, average flow, maximum/minimum, etc.)
Three softwares are required for this course (they are all freely available):
– R (statistical software);
